Kariuki Kamwene is the founding Director of Speak Out Hotline Service Limited. Kariuki has extensive leadership experience spanning 15 years in Internal Audit, Risk Management and Compliance across diverse private sector industries in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Zambia. His experience includes auditing for fraud, investigations, interviewing suspects and implementing whistleblowing hotlines. He staunchly believes that sustainable organizations are those that consistently uphold high standards of ethics and integrity. A key component of this consistency, he believes, is the ability to continuously gather and conclusively act on objective, unfettered and timely information on unethical activities.
Kariuki holds a Master of Commerce degree (Forensic Accounting) and a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Accounting and Finance) both from Strathmore University. He is also Certified in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA), Certified in Control Self Assessment (CCSA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), Information Systems Audit & Control Association (ISACA) and Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).
Enna Victor is the Partnerships Leader and a well respected and recognized Internal Audit, Risk Management and Investigations leader with 15 years of professional experience in the financial services industry. She is responsible for our partnership relationships with professional bodies and industry organizations. Enna is the immediate former President and Board Chairperson of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) in Tanzania, the General Secretary of the Africa Federation of Institutes of Internal Auditors (AFIIA) and sits in the Audit Committees of the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA) and Baraza la Kiswahili in Tanzania.
Enna holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in International Business from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade and is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified in Control Self Assessment (CCSA) and Certified Public Accountant of Tanzania (CPA-T). She is also a member of Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) and the NBAA.
Quality Assurance Leader
Mark Bunyi oversees quality assurance of the Hotline Service. Prior to this, Mark was an Associate Director in the consulting and restructuring department of KPMG Advisory. He has over 20 years’ experience in forensic investigations, restructuring and accounting. Mark’s consulting experience includes fraud and misconduct investigations, fraud risk management, corporate intelligence and due diligence, dispute advisory services and various fraud risk management trainings across East Africa.
Hotline Administration and Support Leader
Onesmus Karanja is responsible for the end-to-end administration and support of the Hotline Service to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the service. He has extensive thought leadership experience spanning 17 years in public sector internal auditing, risk management and investigations.
Onesmus holds a Master of Commerce degree (Forensic Accounting) from Strathmore University and a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Accounting) from the University of Nairobi. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). He is also a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), the Information Systems Audit & Control Association (ISACA) and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).
